How to Use the EZ BuglerUpdated 4 months ago

Directions for using the EZ Bugler Mouthpiece and Bugle Tube:

  1. Getting Started

    • Lightly touch your lower lip to the latex; don't press too hard.
    • Begin with a soft buzz and gradually tighten your lip while increasing airflow to climb octaves smoothly.
  2. Adding Voice Inflection

    • This call requires more voice inflection than a standard diaphragm reed.
    • The small hole means your voice inflection is key to creating an authentic sound.
  3. Chuckles & Grunts

    • Puff your cheeks and lightly touch your lower lip to the latex.
    • Use a "puh, puh, puh" motion with your lip to create the chuckle sound.
  4. Lip Ball Technique

    • Hold the call sideways.
    • Drape your upper lip over the top while pressing your lower lip against the latex, then buzz.
  5. Creating Realistic Bugles

    • Avoid flat, monotone calls—add emotion by varying lip pressure, voice inflection, and air pressure.
    • Experiment with intensity to make your bugles sound dynamic and lifelike, which excites bulls in the field.

Master these techniques, and you'll be calling in bulls with confidence!
