How to Use the EZ SUK'R Cow CallUpdated 4 months ago
The EZ SUK'R Cow Call is a very unique cow call within the Phelps Game Calls Lineup, and since it's introduction has revolutionized the elk calling world. Instead of blowing through the EZ SUK'R to make your cow elk sounds, the EZ SUK'R is designed to be inhaled through! It's ambidextrous, can be used hands free when needed, offers interchangeable reeds for different call tones!
Follow the directions below to use the EZ SUK'R, and you'll be well on your way to making Cow Elk sound in no time!
1. Locate the small, flat notched portion of the EZ SUK'R, and place your bottom teeth within the groove in the green silicone!
2. Place your top teeth on the curved portion of the green silicone on the top of the call. Make sure your teeth are even and straight up and down on the call, then bite down (gently--do not bite through the silicone covering of the EZ SUK'R.
3. While applying gentle bit pressure, inhale. At this point, you should hear a high pitched sound coming from the EZ SUK'R Throughout the duration of your inhale.
4. Practice dropping your jaw/bite pressure away from the EZ SUK'R slowly; this will allow the note created through the EZ SUK'R and your inhale to drop in pitch--creating the sliding "mew" type sound that cow elk are known for! Make sure to keep your lips sealed around the edges of the silicone housing of the EZ SUK'R.
5. To change your tone, simply drop your jaw away from the call at a different rate, apply more or less bite pressure, or cup your hand around the call when inhaling.
6. You can also operate the EZ SUK'R handsfree, which is great when you have your bow/rifle in your hands!
